Preventative

Dental cleanings are crucial to sustain excellent oral health. Of course, dental cleanings are one component of reaching exceptional dental care, while routine brushing and flossing teeth is critical to a beautiful smile. Our amazing hygienists, Megan and Rachel, will, twice per year, remove dental plaque and check for other issues, sometimes even including OralDNATesting®, that can detect serious oral disease. Sometimes, Dr Sable will recommend more detailed care called periodontal detail cleaning. You are in great hands, whatever your dental situation, with Dr. Sable and his team.

Restorative

Crowns

crown

Crowns offer full coverage for a tooth that is likely to break or is too damaged to be corrected with a traditional filling. The crown can strengthen your tooth AND enhance its appearance.

Veneers

veneers

Veneers are cosmetic facings placed onto your natural teeth. Veneers can change the shape, color, size, and symmetry of the teeth and smile. Veneers can be made of ceramic porcelain or a composite material “bonding” and are durable, look natural, resist staining, and generally make your smile look great.

Bridge

bridge

We use bridges to replace missing teeth and restore proper oral function. Missing teeth can affect how you speak, chew, and bite. They can also have an impact on the way your teeth support each other and change the shape of your face.

Dental Implants

dentalimplants

Dental implants are metal posts that are surgically positioned into the jawbone beneath your gums to provide stable support for artificial teeth. Some people who have lost bone in their jaw can still get implants, but first the bone must be augmented with a bone graft. Dentures and bridges mounted to dental implants won’t slip or shift in your mouth, which will make you feel more comfortable and confident about eating and speaking. After receiving implants, regular follow-up visits are important.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

fmr

Full Mouth Reconstruction is the systematic approach to restoring your entire smile (all the teeth) at the same time. Different reasons for a full mouth restoration treatment recommendation are:

  • Teeth that are severely worn down or missing
  • Traumatic injury to the mouth/teeth
  • A deep or over-bite
  • Severe decay in all or most of the teeth
  • Severe erosion of the enamel
  • Congenital disorders that cause missing teeth, missing enamel, or poorly-formed teeth

Dr Sable designed the full reconstruction to focus on your current and future oral health, function and beauty. He ensures your teeth fit together properly, reducing the likelihood of chipping or breaking teeth, headaches, tooth sensitivity, and other dental problems.

The proof is in the results…check out some Before and After photos in Dr. Sable’s Smile Gallery!

Periodontal

Periodontal Deep Cleaning

Periodontal disease is when the teeth and gums need additional treatment more extensive than regular dental cleaning. When bacteria get under the gum line, the soft tissue becomes irritated and infected, causing redness and swelling, called gum disease. The bacteria can destroy gum and jawbone tissue, which can result in “calculus” and eventually tooth loss. Hygienists perform a periodontal deep cleaning. Removal of the calculus, combined with proper oral hygiene, will allow the gum tissue to reform a tight and healthy seal at the neck of the tooth. These are meticulous processes and may take several appointments.

It is our goal to address periodontal disease and minimize the use of extensive surgery and antibiotics, and ensure that your gums and teeth are healthy. Dr. Sable is passionate about detecting issues with the gums and teeth; his goal is for every patient to have optimal oral health and avoid the many effects of mouth bacteria that can spread to the rest of the body and cause serious health problems, including diabetes, heart disease, pneumonia, and low birth weight and premature birth for pregnant women.

There are many research papers on this topic. One good source is the Mayo Clinic, including this paper.

Night Guards

Do you grind your teeth or jaw at night while sleeping? Do you clench your jaw when you are anxious? Many patients don’t even realize they do this, but these “subconscious” behaviors have dire consequences to your teeth and jaw, grinding off your natural tooth enamel, cracking or loosening teeth, damage fillings and restorative dental work, and problems with your TMJ (temporomandibular joint).

A well-made, custom night guard can protect your teeth and jaw joint. Dr. Sable will design a thin, clear, comfortable Night Guard that fits perfectly in your mouth, creating maximum comfort and effectiveness.

Oral DNA Testing

It is important for your dentist to help you detect more than the risks for periodontal disease. Dr. Sable offers OralDNA® testing to screens for early signs of diabetes, heart disease, and oral cancer. Research is clear that your dental health is connected to the level of bacteria in your entire body, not just your mouth. The test is a quick mouth swab in our office during your visit. The results of the test are clear and user-friendly (see photo). Dr Sable will help you interpret the results and discuss the findings.

Our team will offer this OralDNA® testing when they feel like the risk is present for disease beyond your dental health. Our team believes in treating the whole body, and ensuring your health, one smile at a time. If you have any questions or would like to request this OralDNA®, please speak to any team member. You can get more information from the OralDNA® website.

Other Services

Bite Adjustment

It is common for people to clench or grind their teeth. At best, this leads to flat, worn, and unattractive teeth. At worst, it can cause many symptoms affecting the teeth, muscles, and jaw joint. Clenching or grinding can make teeth very sensitive to hot and cold. These mannerisms can also cause teeth to become loose or break into pieces.

Dr Sable has significant training to adjust a patient’s bite, which protects your teeth and decreases (by as much as 60%) the destructive force on the muscles and joint. Dr Sable uses the latest technology to determine what adjustments are necessary to optimize the bite, including the T-Scan™ handpiece which also allows the patients to see visual representation of the bite analysis (see photo).

The procedure involves precise and minimal adjusting of the outer coating of the tooth (enamel), reshaping it to optimize the bite. The result is significant relaxation of the jaw muscles, decreased headaches, and protection for your lower teeth.

TMJ Therapy

If you suffer from frequent headaches, have sore facial muscles, or experience clicking or popping of your jaw joint, you might have a TMJ (temporomandibular joint) dysfunction. These problems are caused when the upper and lower teeth do not meet the way they are designed to, which puts tremendous stress on the jaw joint (shown left). Causes can include teeth grinding, jaw injuries, arthritis and everyday wear and tear. Dr. Sable offers a range of custom solutions to address exactly what is causing your TMJ, including laser therapy and bite adjustment treatments.

Teeth Whitening

Dr Sable can help bring back shine and luster to your smile with convenient teeth whitening procedures that meet your needs and budget. We offer teeth whitening therapy that you do in the comfort of your own home. The Opalescence Go therapy has become a favorite of our team and our patients. Ask any team member for more information.

After a lengthy hiatus, I finally went back to the dentist. I was very impressed with S | F Family Dental. Dr. Fransoso was very professional and handled my visit well. Her staff was utmost helpful in every way possible. Most people cringe just thinking about sitting in that chair. After X-rays, photos, teeth cleaning, and check out, my experience was first class and look forward to my next visit. Thanks to the entire staff that was extremely accommodating to my needs.

Only positive experiences at the Sable & Fransoso office. The staff is friendly, quick to answer questions, and clear about expectations and any concerns I’ve had. I’ve been going to this office exclusively for at least four years, and I plan to continue doing so indefinitely. Under Dr. Sable and now Dr. Fransoso’s guidance and care, I’ve improved my dental health and overall wellbeing significantly. Anyone who ever needs a recommendation, I know exactly where to send them.

Dr. Sable is the most thorough, dentist I have ever been to. He asked me questions about my history, asked if I had any concerns, listened and offered suggestions. He took pictures of my bite and emailed them to me to show my orthodontist and gave me his direct line to give to my orthodontist should he have any questions. The hygienist was gentle and very thorough as well! Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful. I couldn’t be happier with my new dentist!! I highly recommend, if you are looking for a great dentist!!!

Stephanie is an outstanding dentist and her team is exceptional. She explains clearly everything she is doing and what to expect, and the results are great. I highly recommend this practice for the entire family. Why anyone would go to one of the corporate dental offices is beyond me.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this dental office today. I am an existing patient returning after approximately two years and was told that X-rays were mandatory before I could receive a cleaning or examination. And, that I was being treated as a new patient, even though I am not a new patient. There was no meaningful discussion about my individual dental history, risk factors, or concerns—just a blanket requirement that I undergo X-rays or forgo treatment. What makes this particularly frustrating is that the American Dental Association (ADA) and FDA guidelines recommend that radiographs X-rays be based on a patient's individual risk and clinical findings, not simply because a certain amount of time has passed. For adult recall patients with no clinical signs of decay and low risk for cavities, bitewing X-rays are generally recommended at intervals of 24 to 36 months, and imaging decisions should be made based on professional judgment and patient-specific needs. important to note that I was not visually evaluated. I was bothered also with the complete lack of flexibility or meaningful discussion. Rather than explaining my options, medical necessity, or addressing my concerns, the office presented the X-rays as a non-negotiable requirement. As a patient, I believe I should have the right to make informed decisions about my healthcare and understand why a procedure is being recommended. Instead of discussing whether X-rays were clinically necessary in my case, the office treated them as a mandatory administrative requirement. As a patient, I believe informed consent includes the ability to ask questions, understand the rationale for recommended procedures, and participate in decisions about my care. The staff was courteous, but the office's rigid policy left me feeling that patient autonomy and individualized care were secondary to office protocol. Patients should be aware that even if they are existing patients, they may be denied treatment if they decline X-rays, regardless of their personal circumstances.
